CONTEMPO EVENTS

The dynamic program of Contempo events is planned around all aspects of the contemporary art world. Throughout the calendar year there are over 70 Contempo specific events held at both the Gallery and other major venues throughout Sydney. Informative, educational, practical and fun – the broad and diverse spectrum caters to everyone. Add to that all the other Gallery events that Contempo members have access to and you’ll find more than enough to keep you busy.

Contempo events are also a great social outlet. By bringing people together in relaxed, informal and entertaining settings they offer a platform to meet others, share interests and, of course, have fun. 		STREET SCENE: STENCIL ART WORKSHOP Saturday 27 March 2010 Create your own stencil designs and apply them to a t-shirt and canvas in our much anticipated stencil art workshop under the direction of celebrated Sydney stencil artist, Jason Wing. No experience necessary as Jason will guide you through the process.

		CONTEMPO BOOK CLUB Last Sunday of every Month Would you like to learn more about contemporary art, read more books and meet new people? This bi-monthly book club will catch up on Sunday afternoons in the members lounge to discuss the month's contemporary art book and enjoy some tea and scones.
		FREE CONTEMPORARY ART TOURS Last Wednesday evening of every month Join our Contempo Guides for an informative tour of the Art Gallery's Contemporary Collection. After the tour join Contempo for a glass of wine in the Members' Lounge.
		ART CLASSES Weekend drawing, collage, painting and photography workshops Contempo's art classes are taken by well known Australian artists and happen throughout the year. Book early to avoid disappoint with these popular classes.
