Contempo's art and life tour of Latin America with Wayne Tunnicliffe

With such a colourful and vibrant culture, you can see why the Latin Americans have a real passion for life. The rich heritage of indigenous Indian, Portuguese, Spanish and African influences that has made this region so distinctive, has also made it one of the most creatively exciting in the world today.

This fascinating tour will focus on the art of three great cities of the Latin world: Santiago, Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro. We will visit the leading contemporary galleries such as MALBA in Buenos Aires and the Oscar Niemeyer designed futuristic Museo do Arte Contemporânea in Rio. We’ll also explore key museums to see the history of Latin American art and their great collections of European art.

As art and life are inseparable, it would be remiss not to immerse ourselves in the markets and barrios, the cafés and bars, the bustling streets and architecture to experience how closely culture is tied to the sensual energy of these cities.
